BioSymp is organized in the premises of the Università degli Studi di Messina (UniMe), an historical, public university of Italy, that was formally established by Pope Paul III in November 1548 (see UniMe history).
Coherently with UniMe centuries-long tradition of being a privileged spot for cultural exchanges among different countries, right in the middle of the Mediterranean sea, this symposium will be an opportunity for international researchers of different background in traditional disciplines as applied to life sciences, to meet and discuss some of the recent scientific advancements in such a multidisciplinary field.
Our pledge is to bring together a remarkable group of scientists who may provide us with new directions and avenues of investigation.
The BioSymp logo was conceived having in mind branched connections between researchers working either in hard core traditional sciences, or life sciences, who will meet at the Symposium. The discussed topics will cover a wide range of aspects, including but not limited to peptide-based drug-delivery systems, molecular modeling and design aimed to disease control and to the development of efficient pharmacological approaches, theoretical and computational understanding of microscopic processes related to cell biology, analytical protocols and models that provide insights into environmental, food safety, and health-related applications.
